I completely understand the situation. But believe me this bill not good for anyone but anti-immigrant. We need to fix the broken system and make sure the employee is not tied to the employer. It will take care of all the misuse and low wage. I hope you understand the point. Now they are coming for L1, then H1 and then for EAD…

Any of the guys who got these LUDs , was your 485 application transferred from say Vermont or CA to TSC or NSC and if so, did the Transfer Notice have a different Receipt date ?
Everyone who got these LUDs(because of pre=adjudication) has a Receipt date which is in line with the Service Center’s Processing timeframe.
During the July fiasco, they were moving applications around so that they can receipt them faster.
The reason I ask is, my 485 receipt date from Vermont is 7/29/07. Then it was transferred to TSC and the Transfer Notice had a receipt date of 10/1/2007. I am wondering which receipt date they’d consider.
Anxious because I had a Change of address (200 miles) and so expecting a RFE.

Plus, to add to the complication, I’ve also confirmed ticket to meet them at Frankfurt on their way to US. My Euro vacation for a week would collapse and have to cancel everything.
I’m try to keep myself sane. There are much worse situations people are facing in this forum ( for example, a ninth pregnant lady getting laid off).
Just hoping (and praying) that this can be solved smoothly.

There is not much we can do. From Greg’s yesterday’s latest response that there were very few which were returned/rejected on July 2nd itself and this thread proves that we are not alone …there are so many and status is unknown. Matthew Oh is also suggesting that it will be receipted. I think we are all safe and with time we will get receipt. Nobody…none of the attorney’s are suggesting refiling. Now the thought that whether my packet was properly filed or not? I think that will always be there in the back of one’s mind but if the attorney has done his/her job correctly I think we should not worry. Its not rocket science and documents required for filing are well known…so I would discount this risk. It appears we are all safe because as we all know that no rejection notices have been generated, packets if returned should have come back by now as per Greg….All in all it all points towards our packets being on hold there at respective centers….but as you rightly pointed out..towards the last week of July keep calling centers to know..but even before that keep eye on check clearing as that by far is the best and earliest clue that all is well with the case.

I am happy for you. As i said, earlier, i called and explained 2 I140′s situation, IO verified and told they have already consolidated A numbers and it is current, will send an email to floor. She also confirmed biometrics and Namecheck are cleared as well. I struggled with that part since, they went vermont cause of EAC receipt number….
This is a complex system for the ability and knowledge they have…

Applying GC in EB2 is appropriate with your education. As long as you have a valid computer science degree ( U R MCA) .. with solid 7 years of experience should be good.
But, it is wise to consult an immigration lawyer because of the current scenario..
Considering earlier days , you would qualify for EB2 with your exp and Masters.
Dont know what exactly , is the case now..
Given a opportunity , do not miss EB2.

We recently got the Atlas America Insurance with 0 deductible and got two visits done for my father(chest infection). Got antibiotics prescribed, blood test done, physical checkup done. Went very smooth, no payments at all.
Said that, someone who has tested a Emergency visit or a Specialist visit or an Intensive care visit should be able to give us a better idea of who fares better.
Till date, other then a PCPs visit, I have not heard any good reviews for any insurance cos(agents).
And then there are so many agents/sub-agents floating around, that even the genuine ones dont seem so genuine.
We should have a AM/SP kinda rating system for Visitors insurance.
